I'm fortunate enough that I chose floristry as a career and as a floral designer I can create and express myself with flowers. It's the same principles of design that I use when painting portraits of people, animals, or doing my whimsical drawings or paintings. In pastel, acrylic, or pen and wash I get lost in the zone and just love to put down on paper what I see- usually humourous . I try my hand at scratch board, copper dry point etching, stippling, in fact I'm never happier than when I'm creating.
teachers that inspire me inc Barbara McManus, Terrieanne Murray, Rob Knight, Wendy Jane Sheppard etc and to numerous workshops my thirst is never ending.
Having illustrated a book, with the title " wishes for us, wishes for you" I llook forward to illustrating, some picture fiction in the near future.
I like to think that I share a little joy when people view my work |
