ARTIST BIO

Lauren Charlton is a Mornington Peninsula based contemporary artist. She grew up in the rolling hills of South Gippsland and is constantly inspired by the landscape and native flora found on her adventures.

Lauren has always been a 'creative' but submitted her first artworks in the Red Hill Art Show in 2019. Selling all three pieces on opening night gave her the confidence to exhibit more of her work and followed this with acceptance into the Southern Buoy Studios Landscape Prize and the Somers Arts Fair.

With the absence of 'live' exhbitions at local art shows during 2020, Lauren set her mind and hands to creating works for her first solo exhibition. In May of 2021, Lauren launched her 'Coming Home' collection at the Meeniyan Art Gallery.

Lauren is currently working on a new original artwork collection and the release of prints from her solo show.
